(More customer reviews)these adapters were cheap and they do work. Naturally they aren't 802.3af compatible, but I wasn't expecting them to be at this price. This particular set was the wrong size for me, you want 5.5mmX2.1mm for most 5,7.5 or 12 volt powered switches, hubs, routers, drives, cameras, etc. It was easy enough to cut off the included connectors and solder on my own on. The conductors in the adapters are really thin, so don't expect to pass too much power through them, I've gone as high as about 4amps at 5volts. The power adapter that came with the switch I was using was a 3amp 5volt power brick and it worked with ethernet cables up to 50ft, a 5volt 4.5amp power brick could work over one hundred feet of cable, I haven't tried two hundred.
