(More customer reviews)Home networking can be a real pain especially for someone like me who knows enough to be dangerous but not enough to be a network installer. I have a wireless router burried in my basement that wasn't getting signal to my upstairs part of the house. I tried two other different products 1) two routers connected to each other and 2) a Hawking repeater. I ended up wasting a lot of time with them and they just didnt work or had compatibility issues. I took a plunge on the no brand trendnet based on this other positive review and he was 100% right. The price is 50% cheaper than the comparable Linksys N switch and does exactly as advertised. Setup took 5 minutes and I now have coverage all over my house. No issues so far.

I made arrangements with a neighbor at exactly that distance to share his internet connection with me. I purchased this item and hooked the two up. It was easy to connect and I have had no problems with it.
Using this device requires only moderate technical ability during the very first connection. After that, it can be forgotten about completely. Although the casing around the antenna appears of good quality, it is still made of only plastic and I doubt it's ability to withstand direct exposure to extremely strong storm winds.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this router primarily for its parental control filtering functions. I was disappointed in that you can easily reach porn sites with this router's porn filtering enabled. The URL blocking also will not block unless the term you want blocked is part of the doc com address. The router was easy to set up and has a stronger signal than the Belkin Wireless G Router F5D7230-4 it was to replace. The Belkin had better parental control filtering options compared to the ZyXel P-334WT. Unfortunately Belkin has horrible tech support and when the free 6 months of filtering on the Belkin expired it would not allow me to renew the service and nobody at Belkin knows what they are doing. Level 2 tech support also does not call back. So it looks like I may need to look for yet another parental control router unless ZyXel has a fix for their parental control flaws.

(More customer reviews)I have had a Microsoft Router for about 5 years now and it has been perfect in every regard, but I was really wanting to upgrade it and get the latest speeds....I was torn since my Router is still working great, I hated to mess with something working so good when you read the spotty reviews (some 5 star---some 1 star) for some of the new routers.
So I thought this one would be the perfect choice and after 2 months of ownership I am proud to say that it IS !...I just hooked it into a port on my existing router and now I have the Microsoft Router in B speed and the Trendnet N Speed working right beside each other perfectly...I am very happy with it...It took about 15 minutes to install using the included instructions and their website that is very helpful...I was able to print out the entire manual before I even got the router !
In the couple of months I have had it...Not one dropped signal...haven't had to reboot it...nothing.....It's been flawless from day 1....It works WAY out in my backyard.....and everywhere in my house (1,500 Square feet).....I get 80% signal in the yard and back porch...and 92% to 95% inside the house.
I have used it with a iPod Touch...PS3....and a Wii....and setup was easy with them all....even with the best security settings.

U.S. Robotics USR2410 Wireless Access PC Card Review

(More customer reviews)The US Robotics USR2410 802.11b PC card is a great value at [price] (I used a [price] coupon code and [price] rebate to get the net price to [price], which is practically unbeatable for a wireless PC card). I'm able to link to my Netgear MR314 router with no problems. The range isn't as good as my daughter's Linksys USB wireless adapter, but I can go anywhere in the house and yard and still browse the Net with no problems regardless of what the link and signal strength indicators say.
However, do not, repeat DO NOT use the enclosed drivers for this card! I am using an IBM Thinkpad T21 with Windows 2000 Professional and the driver/config utility on the CD (version 1.25) crashed my system repeatedly and corrupted my VPN software. Instead, go to USR's website at [URL] to download the uninstall utility, version 1.33 of the driver and the firmware upgrade which flashes the PC card and improves performance. The site also has drivers for Mac, WinCE and Linux as well.
Once I installed the newest drivers everything has been great. No complaints! There are better wireless cards on the market, but not for this price!

As mentioned with other folks, this WILL NOT FIT the LX-5 (and presume the LX-3 either). It's designed for cameras whose lenses do not protrude significantly when powered down. Therefore this product gets a good review for those cameras, but a FAIL for those of you thinking about your Lumix. Or is that Lumii? :)

IOGEAR GWA501 Wireless-G Broadband Gateway Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product instead of a comparable (in fact, faster) D-Link router because of this wireless gateway's print server capability. Sure, it cost a bit more (D-Link offered rebates) and it didn't have the positive reviews and buzz that D-Link had received, but I thought it would allow me to print wirelessly.
Two weeks after first installing this thing, I have spent lots of my own precious weekday time (and long distance dollars) on the phone with tech support. As of this moment, the router works with my IOGear 54g PC Card Adapter and my wife's integrated Broadcom 54g Max Performance adapter. But it still does not allow me to enable WEP encryption (to create a reasonably protected wireless LAN) and I still can't print to my HP PSC 750 printer, one of the natively supported printers that tech support insists "hasn't been a problem" for IOGear equipment.
I understand that networking can be tricky. And when it comes to technology, I'm a relatively patient guy who feels it's a worthwhile challenge to get new solutions up and running. But my patience with this product and its manufacturer is quickly wearing thin. My second call to IOGear tech support was spent listening to a new IOGear employee who, while having worked in networking for ages, admittedly knew very little about the company's products (and nothing about Windows XP. So on my dime, he pontificated about the importance of setting all device properties exactly the same when getting network nodes to talk to each other. So we slogged through every control panel and dialog box on both laptops and -- well whaddaya know? -- I had them all set correctly. Still no success, and thanks to the total lack of product-specific expertise from the tech support guy, it was another phone call wasted.
My distaste for going through this process again with D-Link products (or someone else's) just might inspire me to hold onto these products for another week, at least to attempt to get WEP encryption up and running. If I can do that, then maybe -- just maybe -- I'll find a way to activate the print server function. As it is, however, this product has provided only a third of what I wanted from it. We're getting a nice, fast 54 Mbps connection, but it's a completely unprotected network and it thoroughly lacks printing capabilities. On top of that, the customer "service" -- available only by calling on my own dime and only during weekday business hours -- is growing more infuriating and disappointing with every encounter. In fact, the more I write about this, the more I'm convinced that this just ain't worth it.

EnGenius EAP-3660 - Wireless access point - 802.11b/g Review

(More customer reviews)I've set up many AP's. I am very impressed by the EAP-3660. I've had mine up for 7 months now and I have not had 1 problem. The range is very good and consistent even through walls. I have used other AP's including other Engenius protects and I have found their performance claims to be exaggerated. However, this is not the case for the EAP-3660 which is clearly a step up from most AP's when speaking signal strength. I mounted my unit on the ceiling and it is no more noticeable than a smoke detector. I am powering it using the EnGenius EPE-5818af POE adapter, which I thought was overpriced, but it does make the ceiling installation much easier not having to worry about a power plug. I am using the EAP-3660 as a guest wifi in my office. I've had many people with different laptops and phones connect to it without and glitches. I strongly recommend this product.
